Recipe for a Happy Homeschool

1 Corinthians 16:14 ‘Let all that you do be done in love.”

INGREDIENTS:

– 1 or more loving and engaged parent(s) and/or caregivers

-Any number of children (the more the merrier)  

– A cozy home

– A library card 

– Comfortable walking shoes (one pair per person) 

-A few generous helpings of grace, faith, joy, creativity, wonder, patience, humility, and love.

-1 Daily rhythm

-Art Supplies

Combine the ingredients above and be sure to turn the children out of doors for a portion of time each day; dressed appropriately for the season pending cooperation. 

TOTAL TIME: Varies per family. 

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS TO ADD PER YOUR PREFERENCE: 

-A dash of poetry with a cup of tea

-A smattering of art and/or composer study

-One Nature Journal per family member. 

-One or more homeschool co-op

-One flock of backyard chickens

-A pot or plot wherein the children may grow flowers, fruits, herbs, and vegetables.
